The Social and Economic Development Committee is committed to improving the well-being of individuals and communities in Haiti. The committee has short- and long-term goals to develop programs that address food relief, land cultivation, and recycling as means of fostering social and economic sustainability.

• Food Relief Program - partner with individuals and institutions in the United States to provide on-going financial support of food distribution relief efforts to families in Jacmel.

• Land Cultivation Program - partner with Haitians to identify and cultivate farming land for indigenous and non-indigenous crop development and trade.

• Recycling Program - develop cash for materials recycling program to provide an economic stimuli in Jacmel and make re-use of materials to aid in city-wide rebuilding efforts.
