Education
The purpose of the HERO Education Committee is to prepare Jacmel's citizenry to become leaders in the community through diverse educational programs and opportunities. The committee has the following objectives:
• Establish course articulation between University of Jacmel and universities in other countries, particularly the United States.
• Construct primary and secondary schools to replace those destroyed by the earthquake.
• Develop a university that offers liberal arts education, with a strong emphasis on the physical and health sciences, to help cultivate Haiti's future engineers, scientists, health professionals, etc.
• Research and implement the fundamental principles of academic training as established in ancient Egypt, based on the premise of "Each one, teach one."
